Pasta Sauce
2 weekends Ago I took part in making Pasta Sauce (or Tomato Sauce , Sauce or Gravy depending where your from). I am not Italian, but my Girlfriend is and every summer just before September, they partake in the annual ritual of making hundreds of bottles of Pasta Sauce at Grandmas. This is tedious work, but well worth it considering you get to reap the benefits for the rest of the year.
Growing up and living in New Jersey I am no stranger to Italian food. It feels like you cant drive down a street without hitting at least 2 pizzaria and I dont mind at all! But it brings me with the question…. does everyone want to be an Italian? I know Im not Italian , but I couldnt live with generic store bought pasta sauce after this stuff.I dont think you would either.
Who doesn’t want to be Italian?
I’m not but I sure wish I grew up Italian, my Mom and I actually own an Italian Specialty Food Store in Montana.
